Family and Winter

This weekend, it snowed here in Utah.
It made me a little excited for winter and the holidays, but at the same time made me a bit home sick. Whenever winter rolls around, I miss Canada a ton.

I'm in charge of FHE for my ward here in Provo. Last week, I tricked them into coming with me to the Springville Art Museum for some culture. The building is amazing and I would move into it tomorrow if they let me.

Provo is pretty great.

Homesick

I've been homesick lately.
To make it better, I hung out with these guys and learned a few dance moves.
It helped.

Lavender Days

Lavender Days this weekend in Mona, UT.
So beautiful. Both in look and smell.

2) Dressing in Red, White, and Blue.
3) Dragging your friends to learn how the Declaration of Independence was printed.

Utah Chalk Festival

 Seriously, one of my favorite weekends of the summer in Utah.
If you are in town during June, I would definitely recommend seeing all the amazing art that is created with nothing other than sidewalk chalk.

Can't go wrong on a Saturday with beautiful weather and bag pipes playing all morning.

Song of the Summer

What have I done today with my day off?
Answer: Watched the Les Miserables 25th Anniversary concert on YouTube. Then looked up where it's playing and priced out tickets and flights. Then watched the new movie's trailer that's coming out at Christmas 10 times. Then listened to the entire album. Cool.

Happy Wedding!

Tessa and Robert were married a few weeks ago. I love how happy and beautiful they were that day. I also loved how they are best friends and always true to themselves. It's safe to say I just like them a lot.

Memorial Day

How did you spend Memorial Day? 

 My day was full of enjoying beautiful weather.

 

Though I don't have any family buried in Utah, the cemetery was so pretty dotted with flowers and signs of love.

 Found a friend. Highlight of the day.

Outdoor concert at the Scera. Perfect way to end the day.

Penguin

It just so happened on the drive home to Alberta, I was dressed exactly like the penguin in Cutbank.  

Alberta Road Trip

We went to Alberta this last weekend.

These are the highlights:

 

 Crossing the boarder after 12 hours in a car.

Making time for card games with the family.

 Poutine lunch- a Canadian tradition for David.

The biggest highlight- seeing these two get married.

Let's just say it was one happy weekend.

Hiking in February

My roomie Jess and I went hiking a few weeks ago. Even thought it's February, there has been practically no snow this year, so why not go?
We forgot it would still be wet. And muddy.
